How much can you earn from each email?
How much you earn for each email you are sent depends how much of your data gets used to select you as a recipient. Taking our surveys adds data to your member profile making it more "valuable". Advertisers use data from your profile to select you to receive relevant information. The amount paid by advertisers who email you is determined by how much of your data they use to select you as a recipient. The more data used the more they pay and you 25%. You could earn anything from 0.5p to 26p for each email you are sent.
Earn money even without receiving emails!
Get other people to join the site as your "buddies" and you'll earn 25% of what advertisers pay to email them too! That's right, they earn 25% and so do you and you continue to earn for as long as you're both members, even if you don't receive any emails yourself! Using our unique "enable mail" feature you can "opt out" of receiving emails yourself but still earn when your buddies receive them! It could be as close to "money for nothing" as you'll ever get, except for having to claim your earnings!

Q Do I get paid for doing surveys?
MailPay.co.uk is not a paid surveys site. Our surveys quickly and easily add information to your personal profile but taking them does not earn you money. Sites which pay you for taking surveys are normally "buying" your information and more importantly the right to do with it as they like meaning it could end up in almost anyone's hands. MailPay is different because you don't lose control of your information, it stays in one place, within our system owned and controlled by you.
Q Can anyone join?
Yes, anyone can become a member, employed or unemployed, rich or poor, young or old, anyone can benefit from being a MailPay member. Your information is valuable no matter who you are but during the first phase we are limiting full use of the site to UK residents only.
Q How does it work for members?
MailPay helps you safely store profile information about yourself that can be used by advertisers to determine what kind of offers you are likely to be interested in. Your profile is built by taking MailPay surveys, you can take as many or as few as you like but more you take the more detailed your profile and the more advertisers you'll appeal to. None of our surveys or survey questions are compulsory. Once you've built your profile you can fine tune it whenever you like by re-taking surveys, adding, changing or deleting whichever answers you like.
Q How does it work for advertisers?
Advertisers use the same surveys to "filter out" groups of members who have answered selected questions in specific ways (i.e. members with things in common). An advertiser could find a broad group of members with very few things in common or a very small group of members with a great many things in common. Once the advertiser has created a group of members that they think might be interested in their product or service they pay to send their message to those members via MailPay.
Q How do advertisers contact me?
Advertisers don't email you direct, they can only contact you through us. This means we act as a "gateway" between you and them, ensuring that your data isn't then passed from one company to another and that you remain anonymous. It also means that if for any reason you want to stop receiving emails you simply "shut the gate" with a single click (using the "Enable Mail" setting on your "Update My Details" page). From that point on you don't receive any more emails.
Q How do I receive my emails?
Any emails sent to you by advertisers are sent via MailPay to your registered email address. You can change your registered email address on the Update My Details page but will have to confirm the new address.
Q How do I get paid?
Each time an advertiser emails you credits are added to your account. The number of credits each email earns you varies depending on how much of your data was used to select you to receive it. The more data used the more credits you earn for being sent the email. Credits accrue in your member account and can be exchanged for items from our Rewards List whenever you like. The Rewards List allows you to exchange your credits for cash in the form of a cheque or payment direct to your bank account.
Q How much do I earn for receiving an email?
Advertisers select members to receive their emails using information from their member profiles. We charge the advertiser a per mail fee based on how much profile information was used to target the recipients and award each recipient a percentage of the fee we charge. The amount you earn for receiving each email can vary depending on how much of your member profile information was used to select you to receive it.
Q Why should I refer other members?
Members who accept your invitation to join MailPay become your "buddies" and are added to your buddy list on the My Buddies page. Whenever your buddies receive advertiser emails they earn credits and so do you, it's just like earning commission! There's no limit to how many MailPay buddies you can have, the more you get the more you can earn.
Q Do buddies do anything else?
Currently all a MailPay buddy does is earn you money, you can't share information with them. Although you can see a list of who all your buddies are on the My Buddies page, they can't see you and often won't even know that they are your buddy. At a later date we may make it possible to contact and share information with your buddies but we'll let you know when that becomes possible.
Q How does a "BuddyLink" work?
As a MailPay member you can refer others to the site via the "one off" referral tool on our My Buddies page or by encouraging them to click your BuddyLink referral link. BuddyLink is a referral link unique to each member that allows them to refer others in lost of different ways. Armed with your buddylink it's possible to get a great many buddies with very little effort. Q How does the "AdvertiserLink" referral program work?
As a MailPay member you can refer advertisers (companies) to the site via the "one off" referral tool on our My Buddies page or by encouraging them to click your AdvertiserLink referral link (available to premium members on the My Buddies page). Each advertiser that joins the site via your referral link is added to your list of advertisers on the My Buddies page. When the advertiser sends their first email campaign via MailPay we credit your account with 10% of the value of their first order in credits. If an advertiser were to spend £100 on their first email campaign through MailPay you would earn £10...not bad for sending an email!
